Heat Kills Dogs! Know The Dangers

☀️ With temperatures rising, it’s crucial to remember that our dogs are even more vulnerable to heat than we are.

🐶 Leaving your dog in a car, even for a few minutes, can be deadly. Inside temperatures soar quickly, leading to heatstroke and irreversible damage in no time.

☂️ If your dog is outside, always provide shade and fresh water and keep them indoors during the hottest parts of the day.

🐕 Limit walks during peak sun hours—pavement can burn their paws in just seconds. Opt for early morning or late evening walks

🚩Keep them hydrated, and familiarise yourself with the symptoms of heatstroke. These include - Increased Panting, Drooling, salivating, Agitation, restlessness, Very red or pale gums, Bright red tongue, Increased heart rate, Breathing distress, Signs of mental confusion, Dizziness, staggering, Lethargy, weakness, Collapsing, Little to no urine production.

Remember, our dogs trust us to protect them 🖤
